At Steloy Castings, our wide-range of quality castings are produced in accordance with all major, internationally acknowledged specifications – e.g. ASTM A, DIN EN, BS and SEW. Our quality assurance systems are ISO 9001:2008 compliant and certified by SABS (SANAS + RVA) and TÜV (Rheinland). In addition to ISO 9001:2008, Steloy is the first casting supplier in South Africa to be awarded PED accreditation for all plants (Pressure Equipment Directive EC 97/23) – which enables us to certify cast components destined for pressure applications, as required by EU countries.
Standard quality control procedures applied include LPE, RT, UT, MPI and PMI testing – conducted by suitably qualified operators and technicians certified by internationally acknowledged authorities (SAQCC, PCN and SNT). Typical requirements within our scope of compliance include API 560, relevant ASME and DIN EN specifications and criteria. Material certification – as a standard – is conducted in accordance with EN 10204 3.1, with the possibility of 3.2 (involving accredited third party inspection), if required.
By having our own UT and RT shooting and development equipment, as well as qualified personnel to operate it, Steloy Castings is in a unique position to provide a full spectrum of NDT testing in-house and at competitive pricing.
Steloy is committed to providing quality casting solutions for all industries ranging from petrochemicals, and pump and valve through to rolling stock and power generation. As a result, we have become the casting supplier of choice of many industry leaders.

A Successful Delivery for OnQuest Reformer Project
“OnQuest Engineering is pleased to advise that Steloy Castings has fully demonstrated their ability to supply spun and static castings in Stainless and HP-micro grades to meet the stringent quality and service requirements of OnQuest, and comply with applicable international standards on numerous projects. The reformer tubes supplied for our Tesoro Hawaii Reformer project were successfully installed and started, on schedule, in December 2006. This unit has been running without issue since start-up. Steloy’s ability to supply the spun cast reformer tubes, cones and manifolds in an expedited manner was a key element to the success of this project.”
