Trade Apprenticeship Bursary

The ideal candidate, who stands to win a 3-year apprenticeship bursary – in which Steloy Casings will cover their study expenses, assist with their trade test during the course of the apprenticeship as well as offer employment upon completion of their studies (provided they pass all their subjects) – is currently a Matric pupil at a technical high school and intends to study mould making or pattern making as a trade.


The ideal candidate, who stands to win an opportunity to complete their internship at Steloy Castings, is studying towards a Diploma/Degree in Metallurgy and has chosen Foundry as an elective at the University of Johannesburg.


Internship: Submit a 300 word essay motivating some of the urgent measures that need to be taken to revitalise the foundry industry and your CV to Steloy Castings.
Trade Apprenticeship Bursary: Submit a 300 word essay on your findings regarding pattern making and mould making as a career path and why you think you should be awarded a bursary.
